Tibianic Rules
Tibianic is an online role-playing Tibianic in which thousands of players from all over the world meet everyday. In order to ensure that the Tibianic is fun for everyone, Tibianic expects all players to behave in a reasonable and respectful manner.
Tibianic reserves the right to stop destructive behaviour in the Tibianic, on the official website or in any other part of Tibianic. Such behaviour includes, but is not limited to, the following offences:
1. Names
a) Offensive Name
Names that are insulting, racist, sexually related, drug-related, harassing or generally objectionable.
b) Name Containing Forbidden Advertising
Names that advertise brands, products or Tibianics of third parties, content which is not related to the Tibianic or trades for real money.
c) Unsuitable Name
Names that express religious or political views.
d) Name Supporting Rule Violation
Names that support, incite, announce or imply a violation of the Rules.
e) Impersonation
Names that are pretending to be another high profile player for the purpose of fraud.
2. Statements
a) Offensive Statement
Insulting, racist, sexually related, drug-related, harassing or generally objectionable statements.
b) Spamming
Excessively repeating identical or similar statements or using badly formatted or nonsensical text.
c) Forbidden Advertising
Advertising brands, products or Tibianics of third parties, content which is not related to the Tibianic or any trades for real money.
It is not allowed to advertise trades of any kind that involve the paying of real money. This does not only apply to the trading of real items for cash, but also to offers to buy or sell items/accounts for real money.
d) Off-Topic Public Statement
Religious or political public statements or other public statements which are not related to the topic of the used channel or board.
e) Violating Language Restriction
Non-English statements in boards and channels where the use of English is explicitly required.
f) Disclosing Personal Data of Others
Disclosing personal data of other people.
g) Supporting Rule Violation
Statements that support, incite, announce or imply a violation of the Rules.
3. Cheating
a) Bug Abuse
Exploiting obvious errors or any other part of Tibianic.
b) Using Unofficial Software to Play
Manipulating the official client program or using additional software to play.
C) Multi-clienting
You are only allowed to have two characters connected at a time. Using multiple computers/devices to connect multiple characters at the same time is not allowed.
Note: Using exploits like X-logging chars with PZ will be considered exploitation and still considered and multi-clienting and will result in account banishment.
4. Fruad
a) Pretending to be Tibianic
Pretending to be a representative of Tibianic or to have their legitimation or powers.
b) Slandering or Agitating against Tibianic
Publishing clearly wrong information about or calling a boycott against Tibianic.
c) False Information to Tibianic
Intentionally giving wrong or misleading information to Tibianic in reports about rule violations, complaints, bug reports or support requests.
5. Legal Issues
a) Hacking
Stealing other players' account or personal data.
b) Attacking Tibianic
Attacking, disrupting, damaging or threatening the operation of any Tibianic server, the game or any other part of Tibianic.
c) Violating Law or Regulations
Violating any applicable law, the Tibianic Agreement or rights of third parties.
6. Destructive Tibianic
a) Harassment
Comments and banter between players must still comply with previously rules regarding statements in game. Baiting insulting statements may also be considered harassment. Players can use the in-game ignore features to ignore comments in game and are encouraged to at least attempt to settle disputes respectfully in game. Video/Screenshot evidence may be considered if harrassment is considered to be excessive an beyond private messaging.
b) Power Abuse
What is deemed Power Abuse may be at the gamemasters discretion. Collective examples may need to be examined to determine what constitutes power abuse and if the examples provided can be shown to be excessive without reasonable justification and/or be considered intentional greifing.
c) Blocking/Trapping
Blocking areas or creating traps is not allowed in protection zones. This includes but not limited to areas such as depots, temples and Rookgaard island. Blocking or trapping outside of protected zones is otherwise permitted.
Violating or attempting to violate the Rules may lead to a temporary suspension of characters and accounts. In severe cases the removal or modification of character skills, attributes and belongings, as well as the permanent removal of characters and accounts without any compensation may be considered. The sanction is based on the seriousness of the rule violation and the previous record of the player. It is determined at the sole discretion of Nostalther and can be imposed without any previous warning.
